Tips for Working on Writing???

0
0

I work in a NYC public school with students K-8th grade. There are so many goals that I need to address, but the one that I often end up neglecting is writing. There are so many aspect that go into writing like syntax/morphology, mechanics, spelling, content and organization of the writing, I usually feel like I am trying to tackle too many things at once, and there is simply not enough time to do anything productive in a session.

Anyone have tips on approaches, resources, materials for working on writing skills that they can recommend? Thanks!

It can be helpful to save their writings in their file and then to have them go back to work on them when tackling a new goal. So if you want to work writing structure don’t worry about the grammar until the next session. Or even a few months later you could pull out writings and approach them from a grammar standpoint.
